Education and qualifications

Stepan graduated from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology and Harvard University. He specialised in the regulatory and environmental aspects of the power industry.

Career

From 2004, he worked at the Russian office of McKinsey and was in charge of the electric power industry and heat supply in Russia and the CIS. Stepan supervised projects in the field of power generation, network development and operation and sales activities.

Stepan has been working at SUEK since 2018. Since November 2018, he has been CEO of SGC. In this role, he is responsible for upgrading the Group’s energy facilities, developing its heat supply infrastructure and improving the environmental efficiency of power plants.

Stepan was appointed Chief Executive Officer at SUEK in May 2020.

Education and qualifications

Sergey holds a Master’s degree in Economics from the Higher School of Economics (Russia) and an MBA from Tuck School of Business of Dartmouth College (USA).

Career

From 2002 to 2017, Sergey worked in financial and strategic consulting, with KPMG and McKinsey respectively, in managerial positions at TNK-BP and the State Atomic Energy Corporation Rosatom.

In the period from 2017 to 2020, he worked as Vice President for Asset Management of the Volga Group investment company.

Sergey has been SUEK’s Coal Division Director since May 2020.

Education and qualifications

Denis graduated from the Moscow State Institute of Steel and Alloys in 1994. He also obtained Executive MBAs from the Antwerp Management School, Belgium, and from the Institute of Business Studies in 2011.

Career

In 1994, Denis began working for MAIR Industrial Group and in 1996 was appointed Export Director. In 2000, he worked as General Director of Saratov Metalware factory. In 2002, he was appointed as Vice President of the Group, where he was responsible for investment, IT and logistics.

From 2008, he worked for United Metallurgical Company (OMK), where he was simultaneously Director of Logistics and General Director of the Baltic Metallurgical Terminal (Ust-Luga).

In 2012–2020, Denis was the Director of Logistics of SUEK Group. Denis was appointed CEO of the National Transportation Company in 2020.

Education and qualifications

In 1999, Andrei graduated with honours from Finance Academy under the Government of the Russian Federation, holding a degree in Finance and Credit. In 2004, he received a PhD in Economics. In 2011, Andrei graduated from the INSEAD Executive MBA programme.

Career

Andrei began his career in 1998 as an auditor at PricewaterhouseCoopers. From 2003, he worked in the financial services department of OJSC TNK-BP Management.

From 2005 to 2017, Andrei worked in SUEK’s Financial Service, holding positions from the Department Head to the Deputy Chief Financial Officer. Since 2017, he has served as Chief Financial Officer of SGC. From March 2019 to March 2020, Andrei was also Chief Information Officer at SUEK.

Andrei has been Chief Financial Officer of SUEK since March 2020.

Education and qualifications

Igor graduated from the Moscow State Institute of Steel and Alloys, where he studied Metal Forming. He completed his postgraduate studies at the Faculty of Economics of Lomonosov Moscow State University, where he majored in Public Sector Economics.

Career

Between 1996 and 2001, Igor worked at the Moscow office of the Japanese Nichimen Corporation in its Coal and Metals Department. From 2001 to 2005, he headed the export divisions of Vostsibugol, Rosuglesbyt and SUEK.

In 2005, Igor was appointed Managing Director of SUEK AG, and has been SUEK’s Chief Commercial Officer since 2007. In 2017, he received a state award for his personal contribution to the development of the national fuel and energy sector.

Education and qualifications

Sergei is a graduate of the Institute of Asian and African Countries at Lomonosov Moscow State University. He holds a Master of Public Administration degree from Harvard’s John F. Kennedy School of Government and PhD from Tufts University.

Career

Sergei’s early career was spent with the Soviet Union Association of Friendship Societies. From 1984 to 1990, he worked for the International Department of the Central Committee of the Communist Party, subsequently joining the USSR President’s Press Office.

Until 2003, he was a political consultant and commentator. His roles also included adviser to the Chairman of the All-Russian State Television and Broadcasting Company and, Chief of Staff of the Department of Presidential Affairs of the Russian Federation.

Between 2004 and 2006, Sergei was Vice President of the National Reserve Bank. He was then appointed Deputy General Director of the National Reserve Corporation. Sergei was appointed Public Relations and Communications Director at SUEK in February 2007.

In 2014, he was elected a member of the V composition of the Civic Chamber of the Russian Federation, where until 2017 he was a member of the Council of the Public Chamber of the Russian Federation and headed the Commission on Developing the Real Sector of Economy.

Sergei has state and sectoral awards of the Russian Federation.

Education and qualifications

Irina graduated from Perm State University’s Faculty of Law in 1998 and from the National Research University’s Higher School of Economics, Moscow, in 2001.

Career

Between 2002 and 2011, Irina worked at Uralkali, a potash mining company, where she held a number of senior positions, including Director of Inventory and Logistics.

Irina was appointed Procurement Director at SUEK in May 2011.

Irina was honoured by the Ministry of Energy of the Russian Federation for her personal contribution to the development of the national fuel and energy sector.

Education and qualifications

Vladimir graduated from Bauman Moscow State Technical University, majoring in Biomedical Engineering. He holds a Master’s degree in Industrial Management from Ecole Centrale Paris and an MBA from Wharton Business School (University of Pennsylvania).

Career

Vladimir began his career in 2001 as a Production Planning Engineer for Pechiney, an aluminium company in France. Over the following five years, he held various managerial roles in production, marketing and supply chain management for non-ferrous and ferrous metallurgical companies in France, Russia, Guinea and Ukraine.

Between 2007 and 2013, Vladimir worked for The Boston Consulting Group (BCG) in Russia and the US. At BCG, he provided consultancy services to financial institutions, heavy industry, mining, automotive and processing companies.

From 2013 until 2015, Vladimir worked at pulp and paper company Ilim Group as Deputy CEO for Strategy and Product Management, and served on the Board of Directors of Ilim Gofra. Vladimir was SUEK’s Chief Strategy Officer since August 2015 till January 2021.

Education and qualifications

Oleg studied Occupational Safety at the Academy of Labour and Social Relations and graduated from Lomonosov Moscow State University with a degree in Environmental Safety. He also obtained an MBA from the Higher School of Economics with a degree in Logistics and Supply Chain Management.

Career

From 1995 to 2005, Oleg worked for various positions at Schlumberger in Russia, the CIS and Turkey, from HSE Administrator in Western Siberia to HSE Director for Russia.

In the period 2005–2007, Oleg was Drector of the HSE Department at TNK-BP Management.

From 2008 to 2020, he served as Head of the Industrial Safety Department at Gazprom Neft.

Throughout his career, he held the following public positions: Deputy Head of the Industrial Safety Committee of the Russian Union of Industrialists and Entrepreneurs, a member of the Scientific and Technical Council of Rostechnadzor and the Scientific and Technical Council of Rosprirodnadzor, Member of the Working Groups on the administrative reform of the control and supervisory activities of the Government of the Russian Federation 'regulatory guillotine' on industrial safety and on fire safety and emergency situations.

Oleg started working as the HSE Director at SUEK in December 2020.

Education and qualifications

Alexander graduated from the Saratov Law Institute in 1986.

Career

Between 1986 and 2001, Alexander worked in the Public Prosecution Department. He subsequently joined SIDANCO — TNK-BP Management, where he held several positions including General Counsel of SIDANCO’s branch in Saratov and as the Head of the Legal Department.

Alexander joined SUEK in 2005, initially as Deputy General Counsel, and was then appointed as General Counsel in January 2008.

In 2017, he received a state award from the Ministry of Energy of the Russian Federation for his personal contribution to the development of the national fuel and energy sector.

Education and qualifications

Alexander graduated from the Russian Academy of Management and Kutafin Moscow State Law University. He holds an MBA in Logistics and Supply Chain Management from the National Research University’s Higher School of Economics.

Career

From 2005 to 2007, Alexander served as Vice President of Rosneft Oil Company.

In 2008–2009, Alexander worked as Deputy General Director for Strategy and Corporate Development at Freight One, a major private railway freight operator. From 2014 to 2019, he was the Executive Director and then the General Director of the company.

From 2009 to 2014, he was General Director of the Independent Transport Company, Vice President for Logistics and a member of the Management Board of NLMK.

In 2019–2020, Alexander was responsible for increasing the efficiency of production and business processes in the role of Senior Vice President of EUROCEMENT Group.

Since December 2020, Alexander has been the Logistics Director at SUEK, in charge of Loading and Transport Departments.

Education and qualifications

Natalia has university diplomas in Economics and Linguistics. She also obtained an Executive MBA from Antwerp Business School, Corporate EMBA from INSEAD and IMD Business Schools.

Career

From 1997 to 2009, she worked in HR in executive positions for companies such as Coca-Cola and the Automobile Dealers’ Association Musa Motors Corp.

From 2009 to 2020, Natalia worked at SIBUR, where she held such roles as Head of Human Resources (Synthetic Rubbers Directorate), Project Office Manager, Head of SIBUR’s Production System Implementation Programme (PSS), and from 2013, she headed the Corporate University and oversaw Organisational Development.

Natalia was appointed Director of Human Resources and Organisational Development at SUEK in July 2020.
